I qualified as an Occupational Therapist (O.T.) from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic in 1989. After working in general practice I have specialised in paediatrics for the past 10 years, working mostly in the community with children whose conditions include dyspraxia, autism, and developmental co-ordination disorders. I have also worked in special schools providing an O.T. service for children with speech and language disorders, visual impairment and autism.
I have trained extensively in sensory integration, completing three training modules and have been involved in the research and validation of the Sensory Integration Praxis test in the U.K.
