| Case Study 4 |
 |
GH, then aged 30, sustained both a severe brain injury and a number of
orthopaedic injuries in 1998. She was married, planning a family and worked in an office
environment. Her accident left her with severe memory, concentration and planning difficulties,
reduced functional skills, both at home and in her local community, and a marked loss of
all-round confidence. After the initial six months home-based rehabilitation, GH is functioning
well at home, has returned to her previous leisure activities, has successfully completed a
period of supported work experience and is about to begin a part time office job.
A high quality and cost-effective service that delivers one-to-one personal
programmes, faster rehabilitation and a reduced financial burden...
